Canada-based Ramsey Greig & Co., a member of the Logistec family, is celebrating 85 years as one of North America’s top-rated marine service providers.

The company’s story began in the early 1930s in Quebec City, Canada when George Burton Ramsey and Robert Douglas Greig, ticket agents for Cunard Line at the Port of Quebec, saw an opportunity. As cruise and cargo traffic increased at the port, so did the number of very diverse marine services requests. In 1934, the duo created Ramsey, Greig & Co., embarking on a journey to provide all variety of services to ships’ captains and crews calling at the Port of Quebec.

As the list of requests increased, so did the company’s services and it quickly built a reputation for excellent customer service and expertise. This led to further expansion of the ports and customers it served. In 1970, Logistec Corporation, an iconic Quebec company serving the marine industry, acquired Ramsey Greig & Co., further strengthening its leadership position in the industry.

Now, 85 years later, Ramsey Greig & Co. offers complete marine agency services to cruise ships and mega yachts at all Canadian ports of call. The company has built invaluable relationships with governmental and local authorities at each port of call, ensuring the smoothest possible call for its customers.
