Japanese firm R Yacht has chosen cruisePAL’s web solutions, central reservation system (CRS) and ship management system (SMS) for its luxury cruise vessel, which is scheduled to begin operations in 2027.

R Yacht, a subsidiary of the Ryobi Group, will offer cruises in Japan onboard its first ship SEFU, which is currently under construction at the West Sea shipyard in Portugal.

A cruisePAL team visited R Yacht to conduct comprehensive demonstrations of the cruisePAL suite. “We’ve officially kicked things off with the R Yacht team, and it couldn’t have gone better,” said a spokesperson for cruisePAL. “They’re a friendly, enthusiastic team and genuinely excited to be working with us.”

Following the demonstration, R Yacht stated it was “seriously impressed” with how comprehensive the cruisePAL system is and were caught off guard by just how much it had to offer. The system will cater to the Japanese language and will enable R Yacht to manage booking processes by supporting all major reservation functions with a clear user interface.

R Yacht will also utilise cruisePAL SMS to enable crew to effectively manage onboard hotel operations, while cruisePAL’s IssuTrax Lite will help to streamline unplanned maintenance tasks, optimise guest interactions and productivity through workflow automation, real-time updates and communications.
