Princess Cruises’ 2027–28 South America season onboard Majestic Princess will feature four itineraries covering 19 destinations across eight countries, access to 15 Unesco World Heritage Sites and voyages to the Antarctic Peninsula.

The season will run from October 2027 through January 2028 and will comprise six departures across four itineraries, ranging from 15 to 37 days. Across the season, the programme will include overnight stays in the Antarctic Peninsula, late-night port calls and extended time in selected destinations, with an emphasis on additional time ashore in major cities alongside scenic cruising through regions such as Patagonia.

The season begins with the 37-day ‘South America Passage Grand Adventure’, departing in October 2027 from Southampton in the United Kingdom. This itinerary calls at Lisbon in Portugal, the Canary Islands in Spain, Rio de Janeiro in Brazil and Montevideo in Uruguay before concluding in San Antonio, Chile. Experiences on this itinerary include late-night port calls in Lisbon, Santa Cruz de Tenerife in Spain and Rio de Janeiro, as well as a call at Montevideo.

The 15-day ‘Cape Horn & Glaciers of Patagonia’ itinerary operates between Buenos Aires in Argentina and San Antonio, Chile. This voyage features scenic cruising through the Beagle Channel and Glacier Alley, with views of glaciers from the Darwin Mountain Range. Destinations include Ushuaia in Argentina, where late-night port calls are scheduled. Wildlife viewing opportunities include regions such as Tierra del Fuego, Cape Horn and Drake’s Passage, as well as penguin colonies in the Falkland Islands.

The 17-day ‘Antarctica & South America’ itinerary operates as a roundtrip voyage from Buenos Aires. This itinerary includes overnight stays in the Antarctic Peninsula, alongside extended time in the region to support wildlife viewing and access to glacial landscapes. Destinations and areas visited include the Antarctic Peninsula, the Gerlache Strait, Elephant Island and the South Shetland Islands, as well as Buenos Aires, where overnight stays are included. Late-night port calls are also scheduled in selected ports including Rio de Janeiro and Ushuaia.

Two land-and-sea cruisetours are also included in the programme. The ‘Machu Picchu Explorer’ includes a six-night land component before or after the cruise, with visits to Lima, the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu and Cusco in Peru, in addition to time in Lima. The ‘Iguazu Falls Adventure’ includes a five-night land component before or after the cruise, with visits to Buenos Aires in Argentina, Iguazu Falls and Rio de Janeiro in Brazil.

Onboard programming is supported by naturalists on Antarctic voyages, who provide commentary on wildlife, geography and regional history. Destination-focused activities include Argentine folkloric music, regional cuisine and a carnival festival programme featuring samba dancers and interactive classes, alongside enrichment speakers including Antarctic specialists, naturalists and historians.

Shore excursions across the itineraries include wildlife-focused experiences in the Falkland Islands, including gentoo penguin expeditions and kelp point excursions, as well as tours in Punta Arenas, Buenos Aires and Ushuaia. Options include visits to penguin reserves, city drives and excursions such as a Beagle Channel wildlife cruise.
