The Posidonia International Shipping Exhibition will take place in Athens, Greece, from 1-5 June 2026.
Held every two years since 1969, the exhibition welcomes more than 30,000 visitors and 2,000 exhibitors from over 80 countries and territories to discuss the Greek and international shipping industry with a programme of panels, meetings and networking opportunities.
Traditionally inaugurated by the Greek Prime Minister, the event is well-attended by heads of state from major shipping nations, foreign ministers, European Union commissioners, secretary generals of international organisations, chairmen of international associations and organisations, and executives representing international cruise and yachting companies.
The 2024 event was record-breaking in terms of exhibition space, number of exhibitors and visitors, with 32,527 visitors from 130 countries and territories in attendance. This marked a 12 per cent increase compared to Posidonia 2022.
“It is humbling to witness such a strong response to Posidonia 2024 by the global shipping and maritime community,” said Theodore Vokos, managing director of event organiser Posidonia Exhibitions. “Every sector of the marine economy and all shipping associations gathered once again in high volumes and high spirits to showcase innovations, network, do business, discuss, and debate the future of the industry. From shipyards to shipowners, ship registries to ship chandlers, classification societies, propulsion system manufacturers, energy providers, software developers, trading, brokerage, legal, consultancy and financing firms, everyone was here again for two weeks to work and play in true Posidonia fashion.”
