Azamara Club Cruises is to christen its third cruise ship, Azamara Pursuit, at the Port of Southampton in August 2018.

Currently sailing as P&O Cruises’ Adonia, the vessel will be transferred to the Azamara fleet in March 2018 and will undergo a refurbishment in Barcelona, Spain. Her interiors will be updated to a similar style of the recently renovated Azamara Journey and Azamara Quest, which are designed to deliver a ‘boutique hotel at sea.’

Azamara Pursuit will leave Barcelona on 3 August and head to Southampton, where she will embark on an Iceland before returning to Southampton to be officially christened on 28 August. Azamara has already started its search for a godmother who embodies the line’s ‘love of destinations and travelling’.

Next year’s ceremony will mark the first time Azamara has officially christened a new ship – both Azamara Quest and Azamara Journey instantly started service after they were acquired and refitted by the line in 2007.
