Quark Expeditions’ Ocean Endeavour is to spend one month berthed at Santa Cruz de Tenerife in Spain to undergo repair and renovation work later this year.

Following the maintenance and refit work, the 137-metre-long Ocean Endeavour will set sail for Saint John in Canada, where she will embark on a circumnavigation of Newfoundland and then a series of summer itineraries in the Arctic.

Quark Expeditions is not the only cruise line to berth its ship at the port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife during repair work. Recently, Fred. Olsen Cruise Line has used the port, while a Thomson Cruises ship will berth in November.

The port is located near to more than 30 companies that are active in the cruise ship repair, maintenance and refit segment, which makes it an ideal base for cruise lines wanting to upgrade their vessels without going into dry dock.
