Spain’s Port of Bilbao is preparing to host its busiest cruise season to date in 2023, with 80 ships scheduled to call over the course of the season.

During the 2022 season, the port was visited by 78 vessels and welcomed 5,000 passengers in a single day in June 2022. This year, vessels from cruise lines such as Cunard, Oceania Cruises, Disney Cruise Line and MSC Cruises are expected to dock at the historic port. First-time visitors to Bilbao will include Ambassador Cruise Line and 14 new vessels.

Another highlight of the season will be MSC Cruises using Bilbao as the port of embarkation for its ‘MSC Grand Voyages’ itinerary to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, which departs on 30 October. The 23-night voyage onboard MSC Virtuosa will call at ports in Naples, Italy; Athens, Greece; Petra, Jordan; and Muscat, Oman, before crossing the Suez Canal to arrive in the Arab Emirates.
