Ponant has resumed service with all 12 ships in its fleet following the departure of Le Soléal from Broome, Australia, on a cruise through the Kimberley region.

“Our customers are expressing a strong desire to travel,” said Hervé Bellaïche, chief sales, marketing and communication officer at Ponant. “Bookings are steadily coming in again with requests for quotes up compared to 2019 and a higher conversion rate. At this point in the season, bookings for summer 2022 are above 80 per cent.”

The cruise line has also lifted its requirement for wearing masks indoors or outdoors onboard its ships following its return to service, though it will continue to recommend wearing them.
