P&O Ferries has launched a new complimentary Commercial Drivers Club to give freight drivers access to complimentary facilities during its overnight ferry crossings in the North Sea.

Members can use a swipe card to access a TV lounge with free refreshments and dedicated toilet facilities at P&O Ferries’ terminals in Hull, UK; Zeebrugge, Belgium; and Europoort in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Once onboard their ferry, members are allocated a private cabin with a bathroom (subject to availability during peak season) and they also benefit from discounts in onboard ship.

“Freight drivers are some of our most important and loyal customers and we want to provide everyone who signs up for the Commercial Drivers Club with a VIP service,” said Nick Pank, P&O Ferries’ head of freight for the North Sea. “We have improved our menus and introduced a new layout in the onboard restaurants, with drivers able to sit wherever they want. And when it comes to leaving the port the next morning, we have introduced an improved terminal exit lay-out which allows drivers to be on their way faster than ever before.”

P&O Ferries’ Commercial Drivers Club has already gained more than 100 members since it was introduced this summer.
