P&O Cruises will offer a series of short breaks on Britannia and week-long cruises onboard new ship Iona this summer, sailing around the UK coast from Southampton between June and September.

Iona will sail seven-night itineraries from 7 August to 18 September in her maiden season. Her inaugural voyage will sail around the Scottish Islands and include an extended stay at her namesake, the island of Iona. Britannia will offer three- and four-night cruises and one six-night sailing from 27 June to 19 September.

“Given recent announcements we have every hope that our guests will be able to enjoy a holiday this summer,” said Paul Ludlow, president of P&O Cruises. “After the stresses and challenges of the past year everyone certainly deserves a treat, and this series of cruises will provide memorable and much needed UK getaways.”

All sailings will be exclusively available to UK residents who can prove they have received full doses of a currently approved Covid-19 vaccine a minimum of seven days before embarkation. All guests and crew will be required to follow enhanced safety measures, including social distancing and the wearing of masks in certain areas of the ship. Crew will also undergo a testing and quarantine regime prior to boarding as well as regular testing while onboard.
