P&O Cruises has revealed some of the features that will appear onboard its new ship, Arvia, when she debuts in December 2022.

Among Arvia’s attractions will be high-ropes experience Altitude Skywalk, which will include two different high ropes courses 54 metres above the ocean. Located below the courses will be Altitude Minigolf, which will comprise of nine minigolf challenges. A swim-up bar and infinity pool will also appear onboard the ship, along with SkyDome, the first retractable roof to be featured on a P&O Cruises vessel.

Arvia will feature 12 restaurants, including Green & Co featuring Mizuhana, a dining concept which has been developed specifically for Arvia. The restaurant will offer a plant and fish-led menu, with cocktails and food pairing advice also available. The Mizuhana Sushi Bar will be located within the restaurant, allowing guests to watch the chefs as they work.

Another new dining venue onboard the ship will be 6th Street Diner, which will offer American dishes such as fried chicken and waffles with bourbon mascarpone. The new restaurants will be joined by P&O’s signature dining venues Epicurean, Sindhu, The Glass House, The Keel & Cow and The Olive Grove.

“Arvia is the latest evolution in the P&O Cruises experience, embodying the newest trends in travel, dining and entertainment, and will be the epitome of a sunshine resort sailing year-round to the warmest climates,” said Paul Ludlow, president of P&O Cruises. “Arvia’s extraordinary features maximise views of the ocean, seashore and destinations from everywhere onboard while guests enjoy the next generation of onboard entertainment.”

Like her sister ship Iona, Arvia will be powered by LNG fuel. The 185,000gt ship is currently under construction at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany.
