European insulation manufacturer Paroc has expanded its Light Marine product portfolio by introducing new lightweight insulation solutions for A60 aluminium decks and bulkheads onboard passenger ships and other vessels.

Solutions will enable significant weight and cost reductions in the passenger ship building industry.

Paroc’s new A60 solutions have been tested and approved for use on 4-millimetre-thick aluminium decks and bulkheads. Using these solutions will allow shipbuilder to reduce weight by more than 5 kilograms per square metre, compared to the standard 6-millimetre-thick aluminium bulkheads and decks. Reducing the total weight of the constructions also decreases building and running costs.

Paroc A60 solutions for aluminium bulkheads and decks are commonly used with Paroc Marine Navis Mat 90, a non-combustible stone wool mat for fire protection on ships.
