Oceania Cruises will redesign Oceania Nautica ship and relaunch it as Oceania Aurelia in late 2027.
The ship will be redesigned for extended global journeys as part of the cruise line’s OceaniaNEXT programme, which aims to enhance the guest experience. It will accommodate fewer than 500 guests who will be served by 400 officers and crew.
Oceania Aurelia will have 238 suites, 179 of which will be in the ultra-luxury category and have a dedicated butler service. The collection of suites – including Owner’s, Vista and Penthouse – will be reimagined, while the new additions – Oceania, Horizon plus some of Oceanview and Inside suites – will be designed with comfort in mind as the ship embarks on longer journeys.
The Penthouse suites will be reimagined to an ultra-luxury standard
Oceania Aurelia’s dining venues will include The Grand Dining Room, Polo Grill, Toscana, Terrace Café, Waves Grill and Pizzeria. The line’s coffee venue, Baristas, will be relocated to Horizons and feature the new Bakery, which will serve pastries and European specialities, and the Crêperie, where travellers can enjoy fresh crêpes, waffles and gelato sundaes. Rounding out the experience on the ship will be bars and lounges, including mixology experiences at the new Founders Bar.
Other highlights onboard Oceania Aurelia will include the new Chef’s Studio, which will offer a series of culinary workshops; Artist Loft, where travellers can participate in creative activities; LYNC Digital Center, which will host interactive classes; and the Aquamar Spa Terrace. There will also be guest speakers providing talks on a range of topics.
“Oceania Aurelia is our ultimate world explorer,” said Jason Montague, chief luxury officer of Oceania Cruises. “She is designed specifically for guests who desire greater space, more suites and a deeper level of personalised care, particularly for extended journeys. Oceania Aurelia will be a smaller, more club-like ship that truly feels like a home at sea, providing travellers a deeper connection to the ports they visit.”
Oceania Aurelia will take passengers on ‘Around the World’ voyages, as well as a series of ‘Grand Voyages’, in 2028 and 2029.
