Oceania Cruises reveals summer and autumn 2016 programme

Oceania Cruises’ new 684-guest ship is to sail a 14-night maiden voyage from Spain to Italy after her 27 April 2016 debut.

Sirena, which will undergo an extensive bow-to-stern refurbishment to offer the same features as Insignia, Nautica and Regatta, will then sail 10- to 14-night Mediterranean voyages for the res of her inaugural season. She will also make 11 maiden calls for Oceania Cruises at destination such as Gaeta in Italy; Golfito, Costa Rica; and La Paz, Mexico.

Together with Oceania Cruises’ other five ships, Sirena will enable guests to enjoy 121 unique sailings and 90 new itineraries to more than 240 ports in over 70 different countries in summer and autumn 2016. The line will also offer 50 extended journeys and maiden calls at 20 ports in countries such as Spain, Italy, Sweden, Quebec, Morocco, Mexico, Iceland and the US.

Oceania Cruises has also introduced seven new Grand Voyages, including Insignia’s 90-night roundtrip from Miami, US, to destinations in North America, Greenland, the Mediterranean and Africa. Following the Grand Voyage, Insignia will sail itineraries to South America and conclude the season with several sailings in the Caribbean.

Meanwhile, the 1,250-guest Marina will spend four months in Northern Europe, sailing to Scandinavia, the Baltic and the British Isles. She will then reposition to South America and sail to Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina and Chile.

Riviera will open the season in the Mediterranean calling at ports such as Barcelona, Spain; Monte Carlo; Venice, Italy; Istanbul, Turkey; and Jerusalem in Israel. The ship will also make Oceania Cruises’ first visit to Bandol in France. Riviera will then reposition from Barcelona to Miami to offer a Central America and Caribbean itinerary.

The 684-guest Regatta will offer Alaska itineraries, before repositioning to North America to offer an 18-night voyage from San Francisco to New York, a 23-night cruise to the Amazon River and a 16-night itinerary to Central America and Mexico.

Nautica will sail 18 voyages ranging from seven- to 30-nights in length. She will visit ports in Northern Europe, the Mediterranean and Asia, including overnights in Reykjavik in Iceland’ Dubai, United Arab Emirates; and Mumbai India.
