Royal Caribbean International’s Oasis of the Seas has returned to Miami, Florida following a US$165 million refurbishment that modernised her dining and entertainment facilities.

The newly renovated ship is now offering seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises from Miami. She will then move to New York in May 2020, becoming the largest cruise ship to sail from the city.

“To see a 63-day, US$165 million effort come to life on a ship as iconic as Oasis of the Seas is remarkable,” said Michael Bayley, president and CEO, Royal Caribbean International. “Our guests–new and fans alike–are in for an Oasis that takes family vacations to the next level. With exciting, new adventures and signature experiences, this ship is every bit as original as the day she debuted 10 years ago.”

Oasis of the Seas is the first of Royal Caribbean’s ships to be refurbished as part of the ‘Royal Amplified’ programme. Representing an investment of over US$1 billion over four years, the programme will redesign the guest experience onboard 10 ships.
