By Rebecca Gibson |

The Autumn 2020 issue of Cruise & Ferry Review is out now and available free of charge in digital format.

This issue opens with an exclusive keynote with Royal Caribbean Group’s chairman and CEO Richard Fain, who explains how he is safely navigating the company through the Covid-19 pandemic. There’s also a cover story where cruise industry leaders, ports and destinations outline what they think will help the sector to successfully bounce back as more ships resume operations.

Our Cruise Business section opens with a roundtable where executives from PONANT and Royal Caribbean Group discuss the importance of sustainability. Plus, we have interviews with Carnival Cruise Line’s Christine Duffy, Mystic Invest’s Mario Ferreira, Scenic Group’s Glen Moroney, World Ocean Council’s Paul Holthus, Cruise Lines International Association’s Kelly Craighead and many other high-profile executives.

Published in association with Interferry, our Ferry Business section includes a commentary from Interferry CEO Mike Corrigan and a roundtable where executives from Brittany Ferries, Interislander, Jadrolinija, Marine Atlantic and Red Funnel Ferries discuss the benefits of ferry travel during a pandemic and share how they are protecting people against Covid-19. In addition, there are exclusive interviews with Rederij Doeksen’s Paul Melles, Washington State Ferries’ Amy Scarton, Pentland Ferries’ Kathryn Scollie and many others. There’s also a special report about digitalisation in passenger shipping, which was published in collaboration with Inmarsat.

Other highlights include interviews with International Maritime Organization’s Heike Deggim, World Maritime University’s Cleopatra Doumbia-Henry and World Food Travel Association's Erik Wolf. There are also viewpoints, reports and features exploring everything from how classification societies are helping with post-pandemic recovery, to safety at sea, how marine outfitters are reviving the refurbishment market, newbuilds in the cruise and ferry order books, and much more. Plus, we outline some of the latest exciting updates from across the passenger shipping industry in our Marketwatch section.

We hope you enjoy the magazine and welcome your feedback.
