MSC Cruises is to deploy MSC Opera year-round in the South Carribbean for the winter 2026/27 and summer 2027 seasons, the first time the cruise line has deployed a ship in the region for a summer season. The will also be joined by MSC Seaview in winter 2026/27, the first time MSC Cruises has operated two ships during the season in the South Caribbean.
MSC Opera will homeport at La Romana in the Dominican Republic, a new regular destination for MSC Cruises. Fort-de-France in Martinique will also be added as a second embarkation port from April 2027
The ship will sail a range of different seven-night itineraries during the year, as well as offering the option for guests to extend their cruise to a 14-night ‘butterfly’ cruise.Destinations will include Oranjestad in Aruba; Bridgetown in Barbados; Kralendijk on Bonaire; Willemstad in Curacao; Samana Bay in the Dominican Republic; Saint George in Granada; Pointe-a-Pitre in Guadeloupe; Phillipsburg in the Netherlands Antilles; Basseterre in Saint Kitts and Nevis; and Road Town in the British Virgin Islands.
MSC Seaview will then join MSC Opera in the region for winter 2026/27, offering seven-night sailings from Fort-de-France. Destinations will include Pointe-a-Pitre, Phillipsburg, St. John’s in Antigua and Barbuda, Basseterre, Roseau in Dominica, Bridgetown, Kingstown in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and Saint George and Castries in Saint Lucia.
