MSC Cruises will complete one of the largest upgrades in its history on MSC Poesia before the vessel begins sailing in Alaska in summer 2026. The project will introduce new dining concepts, refreshed public spaces, upgraded wellness and fitness areas, and the addition of the MSC Yacht Club.

The dining offer will expand with several new venues. Butcher’s Cut, the line’s American-style steakhouse, will serve premium cuts of meat including beef supplied by Meat by Linz. The reimagined Kaito Sushi Bar will provide an Asian-inspired setting with a menu of sushi and other dishes, while the new All-Stars Sports Bar will offer a venue for watching games, casual snacks, and taking part in bar games.

Wellness facilities will be modernised with a revitalised MSC Aurea Spa, designed as a serene retreat featuring an Ocean View Sauna, two steam rooms, a salt room, Kneipp path, emotional showers and a tranquil tea lounge. The MSC Gym Powered by Technogym will be enhanced with ocean-facing workout areas at the aft of the ship, alongside a yoga room, jogging track, and basketball and tennis courts to offer guests a full range of fitness options.

Upgrades will include a modernised MSC Aurea Spa

The upgrade will also bring the MSC Yacht Club to MSC Poesia for the first time. The exclusive, all-inclusive ‘ship within a ship’ concept will feature 63 suites across five categories, including the ultra-luxurious Royal Suite with private whirlpool, 78-square-metre terrace and outdoor shower, and the two-room Grand Suite with a large balcony. Guests will also have access to a private sundeck with cabanas, whirlpools and an outdoor Grill & Bar, a dedicated Yacht Club Restaurant, and the Top Sail Lounge with floor-to-ceiling windows and live music.

MSC Poesia will debut these enhancements on seven-night itineraries from Seattle between May and September 2026. Sailings will call at Ketchikan, Icy Strait Point, Tracy Arm and Juneau in Alaska, as well as Victoria in British Columbia. Shore excursions will range from cultural and culinary experiences to wilderness exploration and wildlife-spotting by land and sea.

Following her Alaska season, MSC Poesia will reposition to Miami for winter 2026/2027 Caribbean and Central America cruises to destinations including Jamaica, Colombia, Costa Rica, Aruba, Curaçao and Belize. The ship will also operate Panama Canal transits between Seattle and Miami, offering extended Grand Voyages.
