MSC Cruises has officially opened Terminal F at PortMiami in Florida, US, which will serve as a homeport for MSC Divina and the line’s new 5,170-passenger flagship MSC Seaside.

The two-storey facility was inaugurated during a ribbon-cutting ceremony on 7 December, which was attended by Miami mayor Carlos Gimenez; Juan Kuryla, PPM director and CEO of Port of Miami; Rick Sasso, chairman of MSC Cruises USA; Roberto Fusaro, president of MSC Cruises USA; and members of the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners.

“MSC Cruises is eager to continue growing its presence in South Florida and in the US,” said Sasso. “The completion of Terminal F is the culmination of a strong, longstanding partnership with PortMiami and a testament to our commitment to the region and our positive outlook for the future.”

Terminal F features a waiting area with seats for up to 1,500 guests, a ticketing hall with 60 ticket counter positions, a 1,100 square foot VIP waiting area for MSC Yacht Club guests and a 3,000 square foot special group lounge. There is also an efficient and flexible baggage claim area for disembarking guests.

MSC Seaside will arrive in Miami on 21 December and begin sailing year-round seven-night eastern and western Caribbean itineraries.

“We are extremely proud to be the homeport of MSC Seaside and excited for her arrival on 21 December,” said Kuryla, PortMiami director and CEO. “We’re thankful to MSC Cruises for entrusting PortMiami with its innovative cruise ships and we look forward to our continued long-term partnership.”
