MSC Cruises and French shipbuilder Chantiers de l’Atlantique have floated out MSC World Atlantic for the first time.
Following the construction milestone at the shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France, the ship was moved from the construction dock into the water, where it will undergo the next phase of completion. Work will continue on the ship’s interiors and public spaces, as well as on final technical elements ahead of delivery in 2027.
Once complete, MSC World Atlantic will become the 25th ship in the Swiss cruise line’s fleet and the fourth LNG vessel in the line’s World class series, which already includes MSC World Europa, MSC World America and MSC World Asia, which is set to debut in December 2026.
MSC World Atlantic will spend its inaugural season offering alternating seven- and 14-night Eastern and Western Caribbean sailings from November 2027.
The cruise line has ordered an additional two ships for its World-class series from Chantiers de l’Atlantique; construction will begin in 2029.
