MSC Cruises is to create a new guest cabin decorated with 700,000 Swarovski crystals on flagship MSC Bellissima, marking a first for the cruise industry.

Designed in collaboration with De Jorio Design International and Swarovski, the cabin will be available in the exclusive MSC Yacht Club area from mid-November 2019. It will feature coral and crystal artwork, as well as crystallised pieces of furniture and wall sconces. The number on the outside of the cabin door (16018) will also be crystallised.

MSC Cruises’ ships have featured Swarovski staircases onboard all eight ships that have launched since MSC Fantasia in 2008. MSC Bellissima already features a staircase with more than 61,000 crystals from Swarovski, as well as crystal-detailed wallpaper in the MSC Yacht Club and a custom-designed panel with 500,000 crystals per square metre and an LED light in the Champagne Bar.

MSC Cruises’ executive chairman Pierfrancesco Vago has described the 10-year collaboration between his cruise line and Swarovski as a “symbol of sophistication onboard MSC Cruises ships.”
