MSC Armonia made her debut at her new Havana homeport on 21 November, becoming the second MSC Cruises ship to be based in Cuba.

MSC Cruises was the first global cruise line to homeport in Havana in 2015, offering calls to Havana and Isla de la Juventud to MSC Opera’s itineraries in the Caribbean and The Antilles.

By introducing MSC Armonia to the region, MSC Cruises will enable guests to cruise year-round from and to Cuba, both in summer and in winter. All itineraries start with either two or three days in Havana, allowing guests the time to fully experience the city.

“At MSC Cruises we are committed to continuously enrich itineraries for our guests, allowing them to discover new destinations and cultures in a unique way,” said Antonio Paradiso, country manager of MSC Cruises UK. “We were very proud to be the first international cruise line to offer Cuban destinations to guests and are now delighted to commit to added capacity and year-round sailings.”

Both MSC Armonia and MSC Opera were recently upgraded as part of MSC Cruises’ €200 million Renaissance Programme and now offer enhanced balcony cabins, additional dining facilities, new entertainment spaces and an enlarged MSC Aurea Spa.
