Meyer Werft has delivered Disney Destiny to Disney Cruise Line following the completion of construction and sea trials.

The handover took place on schedule in Eemshaven, the Netherlands, where Bernd Eikens, CEO of Meyer Weft, signed the delivery documents together with Joe Schott, president of Disney Signature Experiences.

The 144,000-gross-ton ship is the sixth built by Meyer Werft for Disney Cruise Line and the third in the Wish-class series. Disney Destiny introduces a range of new entertainment and dining concepts, including a live stage production of Disney Hercules and themed dining venues such as Pride Lands, which features musical performances inspired by The Lion King. Ten pools and water play areas are located across the upper decks, alongside multiple restaurants designed for families.

“We are delighted to deliver the Disney Destiny to Disney Cruise Line today,” said Bernd Eikens. “It is the latest milestone in our long-standing partnership with Disney Cruise Line. I would like to express my sincere thanks to everyone involved.”

Meyer Werft and Disney Cruise Line’s collaboration began with Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy, delivered in 2010 and 2012, followed by Disney Wish in 2022. A sister ship to Disney Destiny is under construction in Papenburg, Germany, for delivery in autumn 2027.

Disney Destiny will begin operation in November 2026.
