MacGregor is to provide cargo access equipment for two ro-pax vessels that Rauma Marine Constructions is building for Australian operator Spirit of Tasmania.

“Through our previous collaboration and knowledge of MacGregor’s extensive installed base and expertise, we are confident in the supply of high-quality ro-pax vessel equipment that will fully meet both our and our customer’s needs,” said Jyrki Heinimaa, CEO of Rauma Marine Constructions Finland.

The contract continues the relationship between MacGregor, Rauma Marine Constructions Finland and Spirit of Tasmania’s parent company TT-Line, with the scope of supply encompassing bow and stern access equipment, internal ramps, car decks, provision trailer lift and cover, shell doors and hydraulic/electric systems.

“We are delighted to further strengthen our long-standing relationship with RMC and TT-Line through supply of comprehensive cargo access equipment to the new ro-pax vessels,” said Magnus Sjöberg, senior vice president of the merchant solutions division at MacGregor.

Deliveries are planned to begin during the third quarter of 2022 and completed during the first quarter of 2023.
