Lindblad Expeditions is to offer two new itineraries onboard tall ship Sea Cloud to the coasts of Croatia and Slovenia and the Western Mediterranean.

The ‘Sailing the Western Mediterranean: Spain to Corsica’ itinerary will set sail from Lisbon, Portugal, on 19 April 2023 for a 16-day voyage that will visit the Spanish cities of Seville, Granada and Cartagena, the Balearic Islands, Corsica and Sardinia. Excursions will include visits to Cartagena’s Roman amphitheatre, the Alhambra, and a two-million-year-old underground lake in Sardinia. Guests will then finally disembark in Naples, Italy.

Later on in the year, the 9-day ‘Extraordinary Adriatic: Croatia and Slovenia Under Sail’ itinerary will depart from Dubrovnik, Croatia, on 17 August 2023 and will call at destinations along the coasts of the two countries, including the towns of Rovinj and Hvar. Guests will be able to visit sights such as the Roman ruins of Pula and Diocletian’s Palace complex in Croatia and the cliff-side Predjama Castle in Slovenia. The cruise will then finish in Venice, Italy.

Sea Cloud is a four-masted barque, launched in 1931. The ship still features the furnishings chosen by her first owners, socialite Marjorie Merriweather Post and finance tycoon E.F. Hutton. She has capacity for 54 guests in 30 outside cabins.
