Italian Cruise Day will examine the current state and future development of the Italian cruise industry when the annual forum takes place at Livorno’s Cruise Terminal on 23 October 2026.
Organised by Risposte Turismo since 2011, the event will bring together more than 200 professionals from across the cruise sector, including cruise lines, ports, shipping agents, tour operators and travel agencies. The 13th edition is being held in partnership with the North Tyrrhenian Port Network Authority and Porto di Livorno 2000.
The event will open with the presentation of Italian Cruise Watch 2026, Risposte Turismo’s annual report on the Italian cruise sector. The report will provide updated data and forecasts for 2027, alongside a profile of the US cruise passenger market and a focus on Italy’s smaller cruise ports, defined as those handling no more than 50,000 cruise passengers annually.
The rest of the programme will address a range of issues affecting the development of cruise tourism in Italy, including the current state and future prospects of the sector, the relationship between cruise operations and local territories, and the diversity of Italy’s cruise destinations.
Other sessions will examine the role of shipping agents as a link between ships and destinations, as well as investment in the sector and the measures being taken to support greater sustainability. Cold ironing and LNG will also feature among the topics under discussion.
Italian Cruise Day will also feature Casa dei Porti Crocieristici, an area dedicated to Italian cruise ports, and Carriere@ICD, a careers initiative offering young people the opportunity to meet companies operating in the sector.
