Interferry is hosting its 46th Annual Interferry Conference at the Bell Harbor International Conference Center in Seattle, Washington, between 1 and 5 October 2022.

The event will be attended by top-level decision makers from the ferry industry including owners, operators, designers, engineers and shipbuilders for the chance to exchange experience, ideas and contacts.

Focused on the overarching theme of ‘Power and People’, presentations will explore sustainable and future-proof vessel powering options.

The event will discuss the shipping industry’s regulatory targets for greenhouse gas emissions and achieving net-zero targets by 2050. With electrification emerging as the ferry industry’s key driver towards these goals, special focus will be given to the development of onshore power supply in ports and terminals.

The People sessions will also explore issues surrounding training and retention of staff and crew.
