Holland America Line has named Zuiderdam as the second of six ships to undergo its Evolution fleet enhancement programme, following Oosterdam.

The ship will gain new stateroom categories, refreshed accommodations throughout and a Grand Dutch Café.

New accommodation on Zuiderdam will include two Bridgeview Suites positioned above the bridge with forward-facing wraparound windows, a private balcony and separate living and sleeping spaces. Other additions will include 32 Solo Verandah staterooms purpose-built for solo travellers with private balconies; 14 Vista Suites with oversized windows, sitting areas and private verandahs; and a reimagined Pinnacle Suite with panoramic ocean views and residential-style living space. The line has also released the first renderings of the Bridgeview and Pinnacle Suite categories.

The Grand Dutch Café, an all-day gathering space inspired by the company’s Dutch heritage, will also be introduced on Zuiderdam. Designed as a flexible venue for coffee, drinks and light meals, it will be the largest version of the café introduced across the Evolution programme so far.

“We’ve seen strong interest in our Bridgeview Suites and Solo Verandahs on Oosterdam, and we’re excited to make these new accommodations available on Zuiderdam,” said Beth Bodensteiner, president of Holland America Line. “We're building on that momentum and look forward to sharing more details, including itineraries, very soon.”
