Heraklion Port Authority has partnered with Heraklion International Airport of Crete to strengthen air connectivity, operational reliability and the overall functional capacity of the infrastructures to improve the experience for cruise visitors. 

Minas Papadakis, CEO of Heraklion Port Authority, met with Nikos Anastasiou, CEO of Heraklion International Airport of Crete, to discuss how the two organisations can work together to strengthen Heraklion’s position as a competitive cruise homeport in the Mediterranean. The pair also discussed enhancing coordination between port and airport at both strategic and operational levels to enable them to deliver a reliable, efficient and competitive homeporting product for cruise lines and their guests. Discussions also identified improving the overall cruise passenger experience, specifically from airport arrival to embarkation at the port, as a key priority.
