The GreenPort Congress will focus on recent projects and developments for increasing sustainability across port operations when it takes place at Portsmouth International Port, UK, from 7-9 October 2026.

The conference will deliver a number of sessions covering various aspects of maritime port operations, including European Sea Ports Organisation’s (ESPO) environmental report, which features Tim Verhoeven, senior policy advisor for sustainable development at ESPO, lubrication strategies to support sustainability, International Organisation for Standardisation guidance on in-water cleaning, Port of Hamburg as a centre of green hydrogen, and power-barge solutions to support offshore power supply.

Attendees can also participate in workshops including the role of economic circularity in port sustainability, the delivery of environmentally-friendly cruise operations and more.

Additionally, the conference will cover the importance of technology, with sessions on developing an energy infrastructure for achieving carbon-neutral maritime sectors and the role of national energy systems on supporting electrified harbours.
