Organisers of the GreenPort Congress will offer two expert-led, interactive workshops where attendees can discuss sustainability challenges and solutions at the 2025 event, which will take place from 15 to 17 October in Valletta, Malta.

The workshops have been designed to offer participants the opportunity to discuss industry challenges, co-create solutions and develop “actionable strategies” to enable ports to become sustainable.

The first workshop will explore how circularity can be embedded into port operations and identify practical indicators for measuring the success of these strategies.

The second workshop, called ‘Calming the waters - delivering sustainable cruise operations’, will address the environmental, social and cultural impacts of cruise activity at destinations around the world. It will aim to provide attendees with the tools to develop strategies that align policy goals with operational realities, benefiting ports, communities and the broader maritime sector.

Spaces for each workshop are limited to 35 people to ensure participation offers a deeper, more impactful learning experience.

If you are attending GreenPorts Congress 2025 and are interested in taking part in either of these workshops, please contact Ellie Minshull to book your place (please specify your preferred workshop).
