The exterior of the Disney Fantasy, the fourth cruise liner in the Disney fleet, is complete and work has commenced on the interior of the Art Nouveau-themed ship, which is being built at Meyer Werft in Germany.

With the placement of the final 265-ton portion of the ship’s bow, construction of the vessel is on course for its first sailing in March 2012.

The 130,000-ton ship has 14 decks and 1,250 staterooms and will accommodate 4,000 passengers.

The vessel will also feature the world’s first shipboard water coaster. Building on the previous ships, Disney Magic, Disney Wonder and Disney Dream, Fantasy is designed to reflect the style of the golden age of cruising in the 1930s, incorporating new technology. It will feature Art Nouveau paintings, statues and woodwork on board.
