Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri has delivered Four Seasons I to Four Seasons Yachts, which is owned and operated by Marc-Henry Cruise Holdings.
Fincantieri held a handover ceremony at its Ancona shipyard on 25 February 2026. It was attended by Ben Trodd, CEO of Four Seasons Yachts, and numerous Fincantieri executives including chairman Biagio Mazzotta; Pierroberto Folgiero, CEO and managing director; and Luigi Matarazzo, general manager merchant ships division. Also in attendance were Daniele Silvetti, mayor of Ancona; Angelo Spina, archbishop of the Archdiocese of Ancona; and Rachele Grandolfo, deputy prefect of Ancona.
Four Seasons I is the first ‘intelligent’ ship built as part of Fincantieri’s Navis Sapiens programme, which it launched at Seatrade Cruise Global in Miami, Florida, in 2025. The programme was developed by Fincantieri Ingenium, the joint venture between Fincantieri NexTech and Accenture. It aims to create a new generation of smart ships, built on an integrated and evolutive digital architecture capable of leveraging artificial intelligence and real‑time data to support safer and more efficient operations.

“Today we deliver not just a ship, but a new paradigm for the hospitality industry,” said Folgiero. “Four Seasons I is the first Navis Sapiens: a vessel with a digital intellect, capable of learning, adapting and growing alongside its owner and guests. This achievement is the result of our commitment to innovation and our vision for a shipbuilding industry that is intelligent, sustainable and future proof. At the same time, Four Seasons I embodies a one-of-a-kind ultra-luxury yachting experience, setting a new benchmark in the extra-luxury segment inspired by haute hôtellerie. Fincantieri affirms its leadership in redefining the boundaries of hospitality at sea, where technological excellence and bespoke luxury converge to create an unprecedented journey for our clients and their guests.”
Four Seasons I is scheduled to make its debut in the Mediterranean in late March, before repositioning to the Caribbean later in the year.
