Emerald Cruises & Tours’ new superyacht Emerald Kaia has successfully completed sea trials in Halong Bay, Vietnam, confirming its performance, manoeuvrability and overall seaworthiness.
With the sea trials now complete, Emerald Kaia will undergo final outfitting ahead of its inaugural cruise from Limassol in Cyprus to Greece on 4 April 2026.
“Operationally, this sea trial has delivered excellent results and allows us to proceed with the final phase of commissioning with confidence,” said James Griffiths, Scenic Group general manager, ocean operations. We look forward to welcoming guests on board Emerald Kaia in April.”
The 128 –guest yacht features onboard highlights including new interconnecting suites, an observation sun deck with a spa pool, an indoor/outdoor gym, a marina platform, shaded outdoor lounge areas and expansive indoor lounges.
The yacht will also offer Emerald Cruises’ signature restaurant La Cucina, which has been redesigned to feature an open kitchen. The space is located adjacent to the new Night Market Grill, which can accommodate a maximum of eight guests for a private dining experience.
The launch of Emerald Kaia will help with “the growing demand for yacht-style cruising in the Mediterranean, Seychelles and Caribbean,” said Glen Moroney, founder and chairman of Scenic Group, at Emerald Kaia’s float out ceremony in November 2025.
Emerald Kaia will join sister ships Emerald Azzura and Emerald Sakara, both of which are already sailing. Emerald Raiya and Emerald Xara will also be introduced to the fleet in 2027 and 2028, respectively.
