Elite Exhibitions is to host the world’s first exhibition and conference focused exclusively on the cruise technology, communications and connectivity sectors in 2020.

To take place at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Miami, Florida on 13-14 October 2020, Connected Cruise Ship Expo America (CCS) will provide a free platform for software and hardware suppliers and integrators to meet with qualified buyers from cruise lines around the world.

Conferences and discussions will explore emerging and established technologies, including satellite and antennas, VSAT, telecommunications and other technology that will improve the guest experience, crew communication, fleet performance and operational efficiency.

CCS is supported by an advisory board that includes industry experts such as Reza Rasoulian, executive consultant for connectivity at Carnival Corporation; Jan Erik Norli, CMO at Telenor Maritime; Jason Grant, vice president of fleet information technology at Holland America Group; John Polimenakos, vice president of IT at Crystal Cruises; Vincenzo Galati, director of performance engineering at Carnival Corporation; and Brent Horwitz, senior vice president of Speedcast.

“CCS is the first targeted event in the cruise industry, focused on connectivity and emerging technologies that are driving innovation,” said Horwitz. “It is attracting all of the key players from the cruise sector.”

International Cruise & Ferry Review’s executive editor Jon Ingleton is also on the advisory board and we’re delighted to reveal that we are one of the official media partners for the event.

CCS follows on from Elite Exhibitions’ successful Cruise Ship Interiors Expo America, which took place in Miami in June 2019. The company has also organised Cruise Ship Interiors Expo Europe to take place in Barcelona, Spain this December, as well as the Cruise Ship Hospitality Expo America for June 2020.

“Elite Exhibitions has made it our mission to innovate in all industries that we operate in,” said Toby Walters, CEO at Elite Exhibitions. “CSIE was a resounding success, where for the first time in history we brought together all of the key decision makers. We plan to do exactly that for the technology and communications community. We cannot wait to build this brand new platform for the industry which will be a refreshing opportunity for all stakeholders.”
