Honduras-based Dream Ferry (also known as Island Ferry) has selected a reservations and ticketing system from IT developer Carus to enhance the digital experience for passengers.

The system will be used to manage reservations on Dream Ferry’s website and in ticket offices, as well as for ticket validation on handheld devices for regular passenger services, chartered trips and parcel freight services.

“We selected Carus as our partner for reservations and ticketing since we could see that they understand the global ferry industry and the special requirements we encounter in our business on small islands and in Latin America,” said Cameron McNab, general manager of Dream Ferry.

Carus designs, builds and supports IT solutions for the operation and sales of passenger and freight vessel businesses around the world.

“We are very excited and honoured to be selected by the family operation of the ferries on the islands in Honduras,” said John Bertell, director of sales at Carus. “Our team is already busy setting up and planning the solution and will be working closely with the professional team at Dream Ferry.”
