Dream Cruises visited Australia for the first time as Explorer Dream arrived at the White Bay Cruise Terminal in Sydney on 27 October 2019.
Between 27 October and 1 December 2019, Explorer Dream will homeport in Australia and sail various roundtrips from the ports of Sydney. The ship will return to do the same between 9 and 23 February 2020.
Explorer Dream will also operate a seven-night ‘New Zealand Adventure’ from Sydney to Auckland, New Zealand on 8 December 2019. On 1 March 2020, the vessels will depart Sydney for a 21-night ‘Wonders Cruise’ itinerary that features ports of call in Bali and Singapore.
“Dream Cruises is excited to begin a new chapter as we chart new waters beyond Asia to homeport in Australia for the very first time,” said Michael Goh, president of Dream Cruises and head of international sales at the brand’s parent company Genting Cruise Lines. “Explorer Dream will provide a unique vacation experience for both local Australian travellers and international tourists with the growing fly-cruise opportunities, which will pave the way for the return of Explorer Dream to Australia again in 2020.”
Explorer Dream debuted in April 2019, joining Genting Dream and World Dream as part of the current Dream Cruises Fleet. The ship has capacity for 1,856 passengers, who can enjoy culinary options including the new Seafood Grill by Mark Best and Italian Japanese fusion restaurant Mozzarella Ristorante e Pizzeria.
