Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Wish will make an inaugural call to Prince Edward Island on 27 October 2027, marking the first time the brand has visited the Canadian port in almost a decade. Disney Magic previously called on 25 October 2017.
Disney Wish – which entered service in 2022 – will depart from New York on 24 October 2027 and sail a seven-night roundtrip with calls at Charlottetown, Sydney and Halifax in Canada. It will be the first Wish-class ship to set sail from New York City.
“Bringing the Disney Wish to New York City for the first time marks an exciting new chapter for Disney Cruise Line,” said Jose Fernandez, vice president of port strategy, development and operations at Disney Cruise Line. “By offering more ways to explore Canada’s Atlantic coast, our visit to Prince Edward Island next year will introduce our guests to the region’s rich culture, seasonal beauty and warm hospitality.”
The seven-night Canadian sailing will be the longest itinerary operated by the vessel during its 2027 autumn New York City season.

Port Charlottetown has been working with the Province of Prince Edward Island and tourism partners to increase visitors beyond the island’s traditional peak season.
“Welcoming Disney Wish in late October will help extend our tourism season and introduce more visitors to everything Prince Edward Island has to offer,” said Ernie Hudson, minister of fisheries, rural development and tourism. “This visit will support local businesses and reinforce Prince Edward Island’s reputation as a premier travel destination.”
