Disney Cruise Line has announced the name and design theme of its next ship, Disney Believe, which is expected to enter service in late 2027.
The announcement was made by Disney chief executive officer Josh D’Amaro at the 2026 Walt Disney Company Annual Shareholders Meeting.
Disney Believe will be the fourth ship in Disney Cruise Line’s Wish class, following Disney Wish, Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny. Each vessel has its own design theme, with Disney Wish centred on enchantment, Disney Treasure on adventure and Disney Destiny on heroes and villains.

The Disney Believe theme will focus on promise and possibilities, with the ship drawing on stories featuring Disney characters who believe in themselves and their dreams. The vessel will feature areas inspired by Disney flms Encanto and Frozen, as well as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Moana and The Little Mermaid.
Construction on the ship has already begun at Meyer Werft’s shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, with a steel cutting ceremony taking place in August 2025 and the keel laying taking place in September 2026.

Disney Believe is part of an ongoing expansion of the Disney Cruise Line fleet, which is expected to grow to 13 ships by 2031. The expansion includes Disney Adventure, which began its maiden voyage from Singapore on 10 March 2026, and the introduction of a new class of ships in 2029. Disney has also reached an agreement with Oriental Land Co. to introduce Disney cruises to Japan in 2029.
