POSEIDON5, created by Italian firm Pinfabb, is an innovative stabiliser system designed to reduce underwater drag by up to 60 per cent, allowing passenger ship operators to save an average of one to two per cent on carbon dioxide emissions and fuel consumption.

The system can be retrofitted to cruise ships and ferries while in operation and is 100 per cent compatible with all stabiliser plants. It’s easy to install, providing operators with an efficient way to modernise and digitalise stabilisers. POSEIDON5 also features predictive maintenance capabilities, ensuring operators can distribute overhaul and maintenance costs over the years while keeping stabilisers running efficiently and cost-effectively.

Pinfabb also provides support 24 hours a day, seven days a week as part of its maintenance package. The company will be showcasing the system at Stand A2.210H in the energy efficiency hub in Hall A2 at SMM in Hamburg, Germany, from 1-4 September 2026.

Visit Pinfabb’s website for further information.
