Crystal Cruises has developed a series of Experiences of Discovery themed cruises for 2016.

Following guest feedback about the line’s first microbrew and craft beer cruises in 2014, the theme will return in November 2016 on a 14-night, roundtrip New Orleans voyage onboard Crystal Serenity. The voyage will include presentations from brewing experts and cicerones, plus plenty of tasting and pairing sessions.

2016 also marks the return of the popular wellness-themed Mind, Body & Spirit programme, which features health and wellness experts and classes. Meanwhile, returning guests will be able to attend exclusive receptions, excursions and gain other perks through the Crystal Society programme.

“Our guests have come to expect a high level of enrichment, both onboard and ashore, that will challenge and enhance their minds and/or bodies, and leave them with a sense of fulfilment,” said Edie Rodriguez, president and CEO of Crystal. “The themes set for 2016 and 2017 thus far focus on areas of interest that many of our guests have universally most enjoyed – music and performance, health and wellness, food and wine and craft beer.”

Other themed cruises for 2016 include golf-focused voyages to the Mediterranean, New England/Canada and the Gulf Coast; Big Band & Ballroom Dance cruises; and Crystal Wine & Food Festival journeys where acclaimed chefs, wine sommeliers and mixologists provide exclusive meals, interactive demonstrations and tastings in the Mediterranean, Gulf Coast, South Pacific, Asia and South America.

Guests can also enjoy onboard presentations and Q&A sessions with industry figures while sailing in the South Pacific on the Film & Theatre cruises, as well as musical and theatrical performances during Emerging Artists voyages.

In addition, Crystal’s popular Ocean Views programming will return to both 2016 and 2017 World Cruise segments. The roundtable discussion panels will feature some of today’s global experts who will debate current events and policies, as well as engage with the Crystal audience during Q&A sessions. Guests can also give immediate feedback via electronic devices from the audience throughout the discussion.

Crystal has also released its 2017 roster of global itineraries and fares, marking the first time the line has allowed guests to book two years in advance.
