Thunder Bay in Ontario, Canada, is to host 15 cruise ship calls in the 2023 season, an increase from the nine it handled in 2022.

Last year, the port welcomed its first cruise calls after a 10-year hiatus, with Viking Cruises’ Viking Octantis and American Queen Voyages’ Ocean Navigator making a total of nine visits. Both vessels will call again this year, as will Viking Polaris and Hapag-Lloyd Cruises’ Hanseatic Inspiration.

“2024 is already gearing up for a busy cruise ship season with new ships interested in visiting the port of Thunder Bay,” said Erin Simmons, digital and travel media officer at Tourism Thunder Bay.
