Costa Cruises’ Costa Victoria is to return to sailing regular Mediterranean cruises from 30 March 2018.
Costa Victoria has mainly operated in China since 2012 when Costa became the world’s first line to offer cruises in the country. In summer 2018, the ship will sail week-long Mediterranean itineraries featuring calls in Savona and Olbia in Italy, as well as Minorca, Ibiza (overnight), Palma de Mallorca and Tarragona (overnight) in Spain.
Before returning to the Mediterranean, Costa Victoria will be refurbished at the Chantier Naval de Marseille shipyard in France.
Costa will also retire Costa neoClassica, one of its longest-serving ships, in March 2018 once she has completed her scheduled cruises between India and the Maldives. Costa neoRiviera will replace Costa neoClassica from June 2018, offering week-long itineraries from Bari in Italy to the Greek islands.
The itinerary changes come as Costa prepares to welcome two new ships for its European market and two Costa Asia vessels, which will start to debut from 2019.
