A major technical problem has forced Costa’s flagship Costa Deliziosa into drydock in Marseille with 2,000 passengers and 1,000 crew on board.

The ship, which is 294 metres long, and was on a round-the-world itinerary, entered drydock No.8 on Monday morning (19 Dec) and is expected to leave today (21 Dec).

Operated by Chantier Naval de Marseille, the drydock is part of a unique range of facilities at Marseilles which can accept every size of ship that is currently under construction.
