Costa Cruises has launched a new portfolio of ‘Sea & Land Destinations’ itineraries for summer 2025.
Sea & Land itineraries combine ‘Sea Destinations’ – which are only accessible by ship – with ‘Land Destinations’ that have been updated with a renewed range of excursions. Seven Costa Cruise ships will sail the itineraries, which will be available across the Mediterranean and Northern Europe.
Sea Destinations, previously announced in spring 2024, are now included as a differentiating element within the new itineraries. The ship slows down or stops at specific points of navigation along its voyage, providing guests with an experience while passing places of natural beauty or cultural interest.
These experiences would include a piano concert while passing Calanques National Park Bay in France, a light show at the deepest point of the Mediterranean, Calypso Deep, and guided meditation in the Mediterranean Sea.
New excursions will be available in destinations such as Naples, Italy
The Land Destinations, meanwhile, will feature new onshore excursions that have been designed to be exclusive to Costa. The cruise line has introduced a new model for classifying these experiences to make them more accessible for guests, with each category designed to meet the specific needs of different types of guests.
These categories include ‘See it All’, which are complete tours of the cities led by local experts; ‘Icons’, which includes visits to symbolic places of the cities with quick access and stories from insiders; ‘Fun for Family’, comprising of activities, educational workshops and urban adventures designed for children; and ‘Extraordinary’, which includes thrilling activities in spectacular settings.
Sea & Land Destinations itineraries include roundtrip cruises from Genoa, Italy, onboard Costa Smeralda, and from Savona, Italy, onboard Costa Toscana and Costa Pacifica. In the Eastern Mediterranean, Costa Deliziosa will sail two separate itineraries roundtrip from Venice, while Costa Fascinosa will homeport at Taranto, Italy, and Costa Fortuna will depart from Piraeus in Greece. Finally, Costa Diadema will sail the only Sea & Land Destinations itinerary in Northern Europe, departing from Kiel in Germany.
