Costa Cruises has expanded its Asian itinerary offering for 2026 with two new 11-day voyages onboard Costa Serena.
>The first itinerary, departing 1 June 2026, covers South Korea, Japan and China. After departing Incheon, South Korea, the ship will call at Busan, South Korea; Sasebo, Yatsushiro, Kagoshima and Nagasaki in Japan; with an overnight stop in Shanghai, China. The route combines urban centres, historic landmarks and natural landscapes.
The second itinerary, departing 7 October 2026, provides an extended focus on Japan. The voyage begins in Yokohama, Japan, and includes Kobe, Kochi, Kagoshima, Nagasaki, Kanazawa and Hakodate; with a stop in Busan, South Korea. The itinerary is timed to coincide with autumn foliage and seasonal cultural events.
“Our offering in Asia with Costa Serena for 2026 provides an opportunity to explore the East across both iconic destinations and lesser-known ports,” said Luigi Stefanelli, vice president worldwide sales at Costa Cruises. “The itineraries combine accessibility and comfort with a range of experiences, enabled by our fly & cruise service.”
Costa Serena has undergone a major renovation, with updated public spaces, cabins and suites, new dining areas, pools and outdoor lounges. The ship is expected to operate in Asia throughout 2026, alternating between two 14-day itineraries covering Japan, Taiwan and South Korea, and Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Brunei and the Philippines. The itineraries can be combined into a 28-day voyage for a continuous regional experience.
In October 2026, Costa Serena will embark on a 66-day World Cruise departing Tokyo, Japan, calling at 26 destinations across 15 countries in Asia, Oceania and South America, before concluding in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The ship will also serve as a floating hotel for a major international sporting event in Nagoya, Japan, marking the first time Costa Serena has been used in this capacity.
