The 24th Coastlink Conference, hosted by Associated British Ports (ABP), will take place in the Humber region of the UK from 6-7 May 2026.
The two-day event will provide attendees with expert-led sessions and panel discussions focused on the future of short-sea shipping and multimodal operations. There will also be networking opportunities and the chance to discuss with industry professionals future market opportunities and the economic and environmental challenges facing the industry as it looks to build a sustainable future.
The Humber is at the forefront of the UK’s transition to green energy as more than £50 million ($67.2 million) has been invested in container terminals at Hull and Immingham (ABP’s largest port by volume of tonnage).
“We’ve got a lot to showcase – from our historic service capabilities to the upcoming uplift in infrastructure we’re deploying,” said Andrew Dawes, regional director of the Humber at ABP. The company has also lent its support to green shipping corridor initiatives with the Port of Rotterdam in the Netherlands, as well as establishing new shipping route to Germany via Wilhelmshaven.
