Celebrity Silhouette has completed a 42-day refit, becoming the fourth ship in Celebrity Cruises’ fleet to be renovated as part of ‘The Celebrity Revolution’ programme.

All staterooms and suites onboard the ship have been refurbished with new bedding and amenities, while two new Sunset Suites and four Interior Staterooms have been added. The refit has also introduced The Retreat, an all-inclusive area for suite guests that includes an exclusive 24-hour lounge with complimentary beverages and concierge services.

Also featuring onboard is a new dining venue, Craft Social, which offers more than 40 craft beers, wine and cocktails on tap. A new cocktail bar has been introduced, while the existing Lawn Club, Sunset Bar and Fitness Centre have been updated.

“The modernisation of Celebrity Silhouette takes one of the most gorgeous ships in our fleet closer to the Edge,” said Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, president and CEO of Celebrity Cruises. “In many spaces, we worked down to the studs and built it all back up again in the modern, ultra-luxurious style that is synonymous with our innovative Edge Series, while still keeping much of the Solstice Series charm and beauty our guests have grown to cherish.”

Upgrades have also been made to the crew areas of Celebrity Silhouette, including renovations for the gym, outdoor bar and laundry facilities.

Several digital enhancements have been introduced across the ship, with the addition of radio-frequency identification lock technology and Xcelerate wi-fi. Guests will also be able to use the Celebrity mobile app to benefit from features such as digital room keys and expedited boarding.

Celebrity Constellation is the next ship scheduled for modernisation, with work to be completed in May 2020. Four more ships will be renovated by 2023 as part of ‘The Celebrity Revolution’ programme, which represents an investment of more than US$500 million by the cruise line.
