Celebrity Cruises’ new Celebrity Edge has embarked on her inaugural transatlantic voyage after being delivered by France’s Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard on 31 October.

The ship departed France on 4 November bound for her new Terminal 25 homeport at Port Everglades in Florida, US. More than 1,400 crew members and other individuals are sailing on the vessel to complete finishing touches and onboard training before she arrives in Florida on 19 November.

Celebrity Edge will start her maiden season on 9 December, embarking on the first of her seven-night eastern and western Caribbean cruise itineraries. In spring 2019, the vessel will reposition to the Mediterranean to offer various seven- to 11-night voyages.
