Carnival Corporation has extended its long-term service and product agreement with NAPA, a maritime software, services and data analysis solutions provider.

NAPA, which has already equipped all 106 ships sailing for Carnival Corporation’s nine brands with real-time risk monitoring solutions, will now provide comprehensive services for the Onboard NAPA Loading Computers and training certification for Carnival’s CSMART training facility.

The companies have also signed a framework agreement for future deployments of NAPA solutions. This will include installing the NAPA Emergency Computer onboard selected ships to provide crew with a precise, simple, and robust onboard decision support system for flooding incidents. NAPA has implemented the solution on all Carnival Corporation newbuilds since 2016 and began deploying it on selected existing ships in 2018, starting with Princess Cruises’ Royal Princess and Regal Princess. Next, it will be retrofitted on Carnival Cruise Line’s Carnival Splendor and Carnival Breeze.

“Stability management is a core component of passenger vessel operations,” said Mikko Forss, director for Americas Sales at NAPA. “Solutions such as the NAPA Loading Computer are approved by all major class societies and together with NAPA Emergency Computer, they provide unrivalled decision support capabilities to ensure safe operations.”
